SCOTLAND
THE EVENT...IN SHORT!
The ‘Ripple Effect’!
Thanks to the structure of the Rally events, we are able to dominate the social media feeds of UK fleet professionals. Each day has a ‘Start’ and a ‘Finish’ and in between are a series of ‘Official Checkpoints’ (CP). At each CP, the drivers exit the video and scan the QR code on the banners that are in place, and ‘Check In’ online. They then take a picture of the vehicle at the CP and post it on social media, using very strict @handles and #hashtags.
The net result? Some 2-million connections on LinkedIn alone are aware of the ‘power of the Rally’! Add other platforms including ‘X’, Facebook and Instagram and all of a sudden you realise the huge reach we are able to command. And with coverage on BBC regional TV news, in multiple areas, plus numerous live radio broadcasts across the 5 days, it becomes obvious why Transport Scotland have retained an EVROS for the last 2 years, aside from the main EV Rally.
And thanks to the coverage we achieved in Wales, and our 15+ year history in Scotland, a regional Rally has come into demand!
2024 saw us introduce ‘The Celtic Series’…2 x 2-day Rally events, taking in Scotland and Cymru. Supported by their individual governments, we’re taking EV to the masses once more, showcasing EV capability, charging infrastructure, clean energy and much more.
So why not get involved? Get in touch and find out how you can be a part of something truly unbeliEVable!
TRANSPORT SCOTLAND
Scotland has entered into an exciting new chapter in the development of its public electric vehicle charging network. This is focussed on building upon the progress made over the past decade in the ChargePlace Scotland network, and moving beyond, to an approach focused on accelerating private investment in the public charging network, at scale and pace, across the length and breadth of Scotland.
The Vision will be the framework for actions by both the public sector and the private sector to work together in achieving the public charging network that’s right for Scotland and in line with a just transition to net zero. Some of the steps needed to implement the Vision have already begun, including the launch of the new EV Infrastructure Fund that has been designed to leverage £60m of public and private investment to double the size of the public charging network to 6,000 charge points between now and 2026.
Scotland’s public charging network comprises over 3,700 public charge points, with over 2500 of these forming the ChargePlace Scotland network. Scotland has a higher number of public charge points per head of population than any other region of the UK outside of London. Over the coming years Scotland’s public charging network will need to continue to grow at pace to meet the needs of our future electric car and van drivers. It will be important that charge points are available in the right number and at the right location across all areas of Scotland, meeting the needs of local communities, businesses and visitors, and to making charging a car or van as simple, accessible and hassle free as possible.

‘OFFICIAL PARTNER’ STATUS OPPORTUNITIES… Working together, to keep the event moving forward…
Check out the organisations that work, together with us, for the greater good of the event narrative. Staging a complex event, that spans 5 days, covering hundreds of miles, with checkpoints, accommodation and a whole raft of other elements, is no mean feat. And to pull it off, we not only need all the Teams to work together, help each other, collaborate. And then we need some to step up to another level and offer additional assistance, so we can all make the unbeliEVable achiEVable!
And the net result of becoming an ‘Official Partner’, making this event a tiny bit easier for everyone, is an inflated profile and additional exposure, through the event’s platforms. Take a look at the Partnership opportunities available:
Vehicle Partner
PARTNER to provide 5 x fully branded (as per Event Branding guidelines) and insured electric cars. 3 will be used by ‘Team GREENFLEET’ (organisers) and 2 by the Official Media Crew for the event. The vehicles will be required by the organisers a few days before the event, and a few days after.
Logistics Partner
PARTNER to provide 4 x fully branded (as per Event Branding guidelines) and insured electric vans. All will be used by ‘Team GREENFLEET’ (organisers) Logistics Crews, to deploy and derig ALL event branding, etc.
Charge Card Partner
PARTNER to give the Rally access to a wide-ranging network of EV chargers, provide RFID charge cards to every participating driver and cover the charging costs, used by Rally participants.
Roadside Assistance Partner
Driver Training Partner
Technology Partner
PARTNER to provide the Rally’s participating Teams (vehicles) with telematics. Partner will fit, maintain and derig all kit, before, during and after the Rally. They will take daily readings of ‘energy use’ (m/kWh) and compile a League table, leading to a ‘winner’ of the 2025 Rally.
Tyre Partner
PARTNER to provide energy-efficient tyres for the participating Teams vehicles (some may not be able to use them, due to private arrangements with the fleet/vehicle supplier). Additional tyres to be allocated to ‘Roadside Assistance Partner’, to be carried on their van, in the event of a ‘blow-out/puncture’.
Lunch & Catering Partner
PARTNER to provide a packed lunch for all participating drivers, every day. Ideal for a supermarket chain (or similar), these could be delivered, daily, in an all-electric home shopping delivery van, for example.
In-Car Entertainment Partner
PARTNER to provide in-car/in-van/in-cab camera equipment to capture on-board commentary and ‘CarFool Karaoke’, featuring “Ice, Ice Baby” competition!
End-of-Day Networking Partner
PARTNER to provide a venue, with catering covered, for participants to gather at, during the evening of any of the 4 x days, for an evening of networking and engagement. Partner to work with organiser on suitable venue, once the route and End of Day cities have been finalised
The Start Line Host
PARTNER to provide a venue, with sufficient space to accommodate the participating vehicles for a media call, then grid formation, before the ‘flag off’. Partner to work with organiser on suitable venue, once the route and has been finalised.
‘Checkpoint’ Hosts
Hosting a Checkpoint (CP) on the Rally can be hugely beneficial to any organisation looking to showcase their facilities, be that a charging hub or a clean energy project… A depot with innovative technology or simply a stunning location that would look great in social media.
