Milence is accelerating the transition to fossil-free road transport by building Europe's largest public charging network dedicated to battery-electric heavy-duty vehicles. With 38 charging hubs operational across nine European countries, including its UK hub in Immingham, Milence is creating the backbone of a reliable charging network that enables electric trucks to operate efficiently on long-distance routes.
The company is strategically expanding its network along Europe's busiest freight corridors, ensuring charging infrastructure is available where transport operators need it most. Milence's purpose-built charging hubs combine high-power Combined Charging System (CCS) charging with future-ready Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology, enabling faster, more efficient charging for the next generation of electric trucks. Every hub is designed with drivers in mind, offering safe and secure parking alongside modern amenities where they can rest and recharge during mandatory breaks.
Working closely with transport companies, vehicle manufacturers, policymakers and industry partners, Milence is making zero-emission road transport practical, reliable and accessible across Europe. Established in 2022, Milence is an independent joint venture between Daimler Truck, the TRATON GROUP and the Volvo Group, combining industry expertise with a shared ambition to accelerate the transition to fossil-free freight transport.
